In 2014, the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation founded the Reinventing Delaware program. One hundred ideas were selected for review, and the winner was Zip Code Wilmington. Zip Code Wilmington coaches everyday people from diverse backgrounds into skilled, professional developers through their 90 day program. 61% of their graduates have been placed in paid roles within 6 months of completing the program, and earn an average salary of $74,673.
Through their recent collaboration with JPMorgan Chase, Zip Code Wilmington helped reskill over 30 Delaware residents into the technology field. These graduates were able to secure a full-time role within JPMorgan Chase – all within a pandemic year.
